In the Land of Five, witches are divided into five Covens, each defined by unique magical abilities. For those born without magic, like Lilith, the Arcane Ceremony, where witches are assessed by the ruling Council, is little more than a formality.

But everything changes when Lilith unexpectedly develops powers of her own. With magic comes responsibility, and the looming threat of being forced to leave her home coven behind.

When a rogue witch attacks, Lilith is forced to unleash her newfound abilities, exposing herself to the entire Land of Five. Impressed by her skill, the Council offers her a place among them. Afraid to refuse, Lilith accepts but soon discovers that nothing about the Council, or the world she thought she knew, is as it seems. As truths unravel, Lilith must confront lies that challenge everything she believed about herself and her home.
