Summary
What is it exactly that labels someone a stalker? Is it the amount of unwanted contacts that determines a stalker? Is it the level someone will go to, to pursue?
A stalker is someone who makes three or more unwanted contacts. A stalker will follow and observe their prey persistently, especially out of obsession and derangement.
Willow struggles with facing her past full of abusive boyfriends, absent parents, and bad decisions. She moves from Chicago to New York City in hopes of a fresh start in life. She soon finds out that the past is out to haunt her. PTSD memories follow her wherever she goes, and so does an unknown stalker.
Willow begins to receive gifts and pictures, stopping nothing short at taunting her. When she makes a new friend, Mya, they set out on a journey to solve the mystery. Chief Phil and Pauleen make there way back into Willow’s Crush as emotional support to Willow. Who is Willow’s stalker? What does he want? Find out in Stephanie Field’s Willow’s Crush.
*The story is told from multiple point of views: Willow, Mya and the stalker.
My Review
4/5 Stars
On the outside, Willow plays the role of a grieving widow. On the inside though, she can’t be more relieved to have a fresh start. What she doesn’t know is that she’s not the only one excited about her new life. She’s got a stalker who’s got her in his sights.
This book is wild! There were so many twists and turns and intense moments. I loved the dark side that Willow has and how well she plays her role. I also thought the author’s references to You were a neat detail.
I didn’t read the first book in the series before picking this one up, but now I’m going to make the time because I need to see how Willow’s story began.
